1987 VL HDT Designer  Series (FORMULA) A 1 off build for Bridgestone and unvieled at the 1987 

Australian grand prix. It was procured through E.H HAGE in South Australia. Bridgestone was based in S.A at the time and Brock was having trouble getting cars, as this was after his split with Holden.

Fitted with HDT LE bodykit,16” colour coded MOMO star wheels, MOMO Steering wheel,Sport seats (Can only assume scheel seats were removed by previous owner)

Long range fuel tank, HDT suspension , 187Kw 4.9 Litre engine, HDT 955 oerformance manifold with the 603 Rochester carburetter, no doubt makes this VL a unique vehicle. 

It still retains it's matching numbers engine and log books. Along with the original dealer wallet with dealer stamped brochures.

Retained by Bridgestine until 1990–91 it was sold to a gentleman in Victoria who kept it locked away, and later selling the car to well known car collector/enthusiast Suvad “SUEY” Vikic

Notably for his street machine cover car “PROBRO” black big block blown HG brougham.

Suey did make some cheanges to the car. He removed the windscreen moulds, and deleted the aerial from the front fender. Which I can only assume for a cleaner look.

Apart from this the car is largely untouched. It has travelled a documented 53,000 kilometres.

The car presents well and drives beautifully. May trade something of interest.
