History of the HX 50Th Anniversary - The HX 50Th Anniversary model edition sedan and wagon where released to commemorate (1926 -1976) the commencement of GM Australia even before it took over Holden Motor Body Builders in the 1930's.

This model was based on a Kingswood and had colour coded HJ Premier wheel trims and were painted in a limited number of two-tone colour schemes, they were equipped like a vacationer with bucket seats, white venetian blinds, fully carpeted and T- Bar automatic transmission.

The car rides on original Michelin white wall tyres with about 80% tread...these are not painted white walls.  

This particular 50Th Anniversary model HX would have to be one of the best examples in all of Australia. This is a two family owner vehicle (The father bought on 18th November 1976 and was passed onto his son when he passed away in the 1990's) making me the second family owner.

This car is still retains the original keys and original number/registration plates as issued in 1976 which match the log books.

The car has an extensive service history which basically cannot be matched to any other HX Holden that I have ever seen.  The service books with its detailed history are a testament to its previous owner and demonstrate how much this vehicle was loved and cherished.

This 43 year old beauty is as original as they come; the only modification that has been made was that A/C was added to the vehicle.

You will struggle find another 50Th Anniversary model HX in better condition than this particular car. Engine is totally original and never been rebuilt (except cylinder heads were modified 25th January 2002 to suit Premium Unleaded fuel) and id tags have never been removed.

She has only travelled a 100% genuine 153,700km since she was built 10/1976 , Model Number:  HX8W N 69  - 50Th Anniversary model HX Kingswood, original factory T-Bar auto, 5 seater and two-tone Anti-gold/Persian sand coloured duco.

These were a limited edition model and only 500 of these vehicles were made. If you are an enthusiast this is the car for you.
