1975 FORD LANDAU FORD VERIFICATION 1 OF 1 COLOUR
Up for grabs is my rare true 1 of 1 Landau. It's in excellent unrestored original condition, a true survivor with only 133 000km.
Being unrestored it does have some minimal rust bubbles, but nothing cancerous.
This old girl started life in Adelaide and never left SA. It was factory ordered to be painted Yenken Brown, making it the only Landau ever painted in this colour!(verified by Ford). Yes i know it looks gold in the photos but i assure you in person it looks completely different. The best way i can describe it is that in the shade it looks like a rich chocolate milk, but in the sun a real yellowy mustard comes through. And for something different its a completely flat non metallic colour which suits it nicely.
It was also optioned to have parchment leather interior and cassette radio (unfortunately thats long gone) making it a fully optioned Landau.
According to the previous owner it was first owned but a airline pilot until traded in at a local second hand car dealership, I actually found the business card in the ashtray. It was then purchased buy a musician who owned up until 1980 when the gentleman i purchased it from bought it privately. He used it as a weekender and holiday car until he parked it in his shed in 2005. He looked after it extremely well which shows when looking over it.
Being sat for so long i had to get the original carby rebuilt and after a full service she fired without hesitation. The only thing stopping it from driving right now is that the starter motor is on its way out which can get very annoying cranking it over and over till it engages. However I'll be looking at replacing or rebuilding the starter next weekend. Other than that shes ready to go cruising in the approaching nice weather. its awesome to drive and is a serious head turner.
Apart from the wheels, radio and passenger roof handle (which i have coming) this car is completely original. Even the aircon still blows cold.
Will be sad to see it go but unfortunately i dont have the garage space it deserves and feel like it would be better appreciated by a collector or Landau/ falcon coupe enthusiast.
I am negotiable within reason but Im not at all desperate to sell in fact id rather keep it so please no silly offers
If you have any questions or would like some specific photos flick me a email or text or just call and leave a messageand and I'll get back to you when i can, outside business hours.
