1972 XA 302 V8 Ford Fairmont Coupe,all matching numbers, 3-speed column shift auto with C4 transmission. Build one of one,with original sales receipt and factory log books.
Features Yellow Glow paint,factory black interior, factory ordered black vinyl roof, original jack, original crossply radial spare tyre and original hubcaps, 12 slotters with GT caps, BF Goodrich tyres 225/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear,all in verey good condition, Kenwood stereo with 6x9 Kenwood speakers along with a sub woofer and equaliser (both in the boot), original side and rear glass with all winders working fine, the front windscreen has been replaced at some stage. Has had a closed door respray by a reputable Launceston panel shop in 2018. Has no rust and is in very good mechanical condition. The fully factory original interior is in good condition overall. No cracks in the dash board,steering wheel or any of the plastics. Has some basic cosmetic issues being that both front seats have some minor splits where stitching has come apart, rear parcel shelf has cracked on one side and roof lining around drivers side rear courtesy light has torn ( not significantly though). Horn not working. Would benefit from a new fuel sender unit for better accuracy of fuel levels. All guages, wipers, and lights work including dip switch high/low beam.
Comes with the original hand written sales receipt and factory log books, genuine Vic Roads black and white number plates (reproduced ) featuring the original registration number LGW 027,verification letter from Ford Australia, along with other relevant documentation. Always garaged and serviced religiously. Originally purchased brand new from Gardiners Garage in Gisborne, Victoria on 10th November 1972 by a Mr W.R Green, a farmer from the township of Bolinda, close to Gisborne. I have personally spoken with Peter Gardiner who sold the car brand new from he and his brother Ed`s Ford dealership at the time in Gisborne, Victoria, whereby i obtained the original sales receipt a few months after purchasing the coupe from its previous owner in Redbank, QLD.
I have kept a log book of every mile driven whilst in my ownership, as per the requirements of Tasmanian Special Interest registration. Registration is non transferable due to being registered with Tasmanian Special Interest Rego.There is no finance owing, vehicle is being sold with a clear title and isn't/hasn't been stolen nor is a statutory or repairable write off.
Mechanical and bodywork inspections are more than welcome.
